Project: Bag and Checkout Redesign
Platform: iOS and Android
The Challenge: The bag and checkout experience on the app was difficult to use and we also wanted to integrate information saved at the checkout level into a users account using a new API. This change would let users update their information in either place and quickly check out.
Role: UX Designer, UI Designer for Checkout
Solution
The PDP was a group effort to complete. UX and UI worked together through quite a few iterations and user tests to determine what the best experience would be for the user. We decided on horizontal swiping for the fit and color options to let the user easily see and interact with all facets.
3. Wireframes
After gathering insights from competitors and users, I begin to wire and document out the experience in Sketch. We wanted to elevate the rewards program in both the bag and checkout to make sure the user understands what they are missing out on if they are not a member or not logged in.
We also wanted to make sure our BOPIS experience was easier to navigate for the user. The user can now see what store is selected in the delivery options as well as the option to change their pick up store.
Paypal and Apple Pay are also experiences we wanted to elevate into the bag to create a quicker checkout for those guests.
I also left some room for a future state once we build out a save for later function.
4. UI
Once UX was tested and approved by product and developers I was able to help with the UI of this project as well. Following our design standards and patterns, I was able to design out the checkout side of the experience while another designer worked on the bag experience design.
